Instagram Fan Account 101

Hi everyone, I am a massive fan of Youtube and have been for years now so last year i decided to make a fan account for it. I have had loads of accounts over the past year but now currently have 4 (which i know is a lot!) Btw some of the tips don't just apply to fan accounts so if you are just wanting to gain more followers or liked keep reading xxx

I just want to point out that Instagram isn't just about likes and followers, if you are just doing it for that i would stop. Oh and also remember followers won't come overnight, it took me 9 months to gain 7k!

Followers
♡ Use hashtags on your posts such as #gainpost, #followtrain and #ifb
♡ Comment on ifb pics (to find them go on the hashtags above)
♡ Go onto a fan accounts followers list and follow everyone on there and edit your bio to say 'fb or I unf'
♡ Enter dm & gains, goal helpers and shoutout hours
♡ Simple ask people if they want to do sfs or f20
♡ Comment on some accounts saying 'fff/f4f' (remember not to spam!)

Likes
♡ Put hashtags on your posts
♡ Post sfs pics (like my recent cwd returning etc)
♡ If you are in any dm groups just say would you mind liking my recent (again don't spam)

Edits
♡ Be consistent (I post every other day)
♡ Instead of using Instagram's filters, use magic hour (the free version works as well) they look sooo much better!
♡ Follow themes account, they post edit tutorials and templates (to find them just type in themes)
♡ For cute pics use we heart it but make sure you look in collections.
♡ If you want really cute pics type in a colour and put 'kawiaii, bambi, indie, tumblr' after it
♡ You can also find different templates and overlays on we heart it, just type in 'editing, overlays, templates'
♡ Instead of using the normal fonts on phonto, download ones on 'dafont.com' again they look so much better

Apps
♡ Picsart (for filters, blur, collages, shape masks and more)
♡ Photo collage (for making collages)
♡ Phonto (for adding text)
♡ Magic hour (for filters)
♡ Repix (for adding different textures to edits, raindrops etc)
♡ Superimpose studio (for masking people/overlays)
♡ Line camera (for outlining and adding sparkles)
♡ Followers + (for seeing who unfollowed etc)

Hope you liked this post even though it isn't to do with beauty, fashion etc! Hope you all have a good weekend (or day/night, whenever you are reading this!) - em <3

Youtuber Book Reviews

Hi everyone, today I am going to be doing a few mini reviews of different books written by youtubers/bloggers. p.s I also love life with a Sprinkle of Glitter but I can't find it!

Girl Online by Zoe Sugg
£12.99
This book is all about a anxious teenager who created an annomynous blog all about the ups and downs of her life. Then her family moves all the way from Brighton to New York where she meets a boy, Noah who she falls in love with. At first it was a bit boring I'm not going to lie but once you get into it it's amazing! I think this is a very relatable book for teenagers and is also very current which is always a plus personally. Also can we talk about how cute the cover is?!

Love Tanya by Tanya Burr
This is such a good book, there is something for everyone in it. You can just pick it up whenever and read it. There is a great variety of categories including food, fitness, beauty, fashion, how to deal with life and also a bit of a biography. The recipes in this are sooo good, i have tried quite a few of them and they have all turned out well. This also acts as a bit of a decor piece aswell which is an added bonus!
£12.99

The Glam Guide by Fleur de Force
This book is a bit similar to Tanya's but is a bit more focused on beauty + fashion. I really like this book aswell, It was a bit more expensive but its worth it in my opinion. I also really like a paperback! But this is like a step by step guide to life, she gives advice on boyfriends + body confidence as well as giving beauty and fashion tips. i have definitley learned a few things from this book and would recommend it to everyone.
£14.99

Selp Helf by Miranda Sings / Colleen Evans
This book is basically an insight to the life of miranda. It is absolutley hilarious, definitley a must have for all you mirfandas! It honestly just sums her up so well and it is a right feel good book. It is also a really easy read for my spoonies, it doesn't trigger as bad as a migraine when reading. Anyway definite reccomend for anyone who watches Miranda Sings but if you don't this isn't for you.
£12.99

Hope this post was helpful, I definitley recommend all of these books and would buy them if it wasn't for the author! - em <3

Night Routine : Spring Edition

Hi everyone hope you are all doing well. I'm going to be talking you through my night routine today <3

The first thing I do once I have had some dinner I tidy my room a bit and turn all my fairy lights on

Then I do some skincare, I take my makeup off with the garnier micellar water. Then apply some oilatum cream to moisture my skin and put some lip balm on.

I usually also take a bath in the evening, I obviously don't have a lush bath every night but I wanted to include a little demo. To make my bath that extra bit nicer I crumbled some of the yuzu and cocoa bubbleroon by lush which made the bath a lovely green colour and created lots of bubbles (the camera isn't doing it justice!)

In the bath I used some products from the sugar crush range by soap and glory. When I'm in the bath I either watch some tv or youtube on my ipad and catch up on social media.

Once I get out the bath I get into my pyjamas and jump into bed (not literally). Normally I watch some YouTube and again just sit on my phone until I feel tired enough to go to bed xx

Thank you for taking the time to read this, let me know below what you think of this post and if you want more routine posts for summer - em <3

My Favourite Mascaras

Hi everyone hope you are well, I'm going to reviewing some of my favourite mascaras! I am aware that you shouldn't have too many open and that you should only keep them 3 months etc but I only have two open and i kept the others for reviewing purposes <3

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
This mascara is absolutely amazing! I use this everyday for school and doesn't clump at all. It lifts your lashes and lengthens then as well, but still quite natural. I absolutely love this wand it makes applying mascara so easy on both your top and bottom lashes.
Mini : £9.50
Available from Boots and in gift sets
Full Size : £19.50
Available from any Benefit counter or online

Maybeline The Falsies Flared Mascara
This is another amazing mascara, it really does create a fake lash effect. Even though it doesn't have a rubber wand i still really like it. It can clump a bit if you put loads on but if you stick to one or two coats it gives a beautiful effect. This can get a bit messy as the wand is curved but you can always clean it up with a cotton bud.
£7.99
Available from Boots, Superdrug and online

Benefit They're Real Mascara
This mascara is always raved about but to be honest I don't think it is as good as everyone talks about however it is a really nice mascara if you want more of a dramatic effect. On me you don't need much at all to create an amazing look so it doesn't clump but it can be a bit spidery when you put loads on.
Mini : £9.50
Available from Boots and gift sets
Full size : £19.50
Available from any Benefit counter or online

Clinique High Impact Mascara
I would never think to buy a mascara from Clinique but I received a mini size in a magazine and I love it. This is sadly ran out but I think I might have to buy the full size soon as it was so good! It really lifts your lashes and gives a really nice natural effect perfect for everyday. I always curl my lashes anyway before adding mascara but i do think this is a necessary step if you are using this mascara and you have straight eyelashes.
Full size : £17.50

hope this post was helpful to those who are looking for a new mascara! comment any requests you have below and i hope you have a lovely weekend - em <3

how to be a morning person + feel more awake

recently ella done a morning routine, so i thought i would do a post on tips on becoming more of a morning person!

personally i never used to be morning person but the past few months i have been trying really hard to become one as it just makes me feel so much better when i wake up earlier. i am always way more productive if i get up earlier and i feel more refreshed!

♡ routine
a routine is definitely the key to being a morning person, getting up at the same time every day makes a massive difference when converting to a morning person. i wake up at 7am every school day (but set my alarm for 6.45) then 9am on weekends!

♡ no long lies
this relates to the first point, as much as you want stay in bed or have a long lie it won't help and in fact make it harder to be a morning person.

♡ go to sleep earlier + turn off electronics before bed
a pretty obvious one but go to bed earlier, so you are getting a decent amount of sleep. its really hard for me to turn off electronics for like 2 hours before bed but i am managing to turn them off half an hour - 45 mins before bed while i read.

♡ put your alarm at the other end of your room where you can't reach it
i have started doing this and it definitely works! i have always been the person who hits snooze a million times so if this is you definitely try this hack x

♡ leave an incentive to get out of bed
have your favourite tv show recorded downstairs or your favourite breakfast to look forward to if you get out of bed

♡ have something planned
if you have something planned you have to get out of bed, even if it's just meeting a friend for costa!

♡ get some exercise first thing
every morning i do some physio which makes me feel so good and ready for the day

♡ set your alarm earlier than you have to wake up
i do this a lot, if you hit snooze all the time this is another one for you! this avoids you being late for anything, i do this everyday for school!

♡ have a shower to wake you up
this is one of the best ways to wake you up, having a shower! i wouldn't have a hot shower nor a cold shower just somewhere in between to wake you up yet not make you all cold!

♡ have a glass of cold water with lemon (optional)
i always have a glass of cold water every morning with my breakfast which really wakes me up. lemon is also meant to be even more refreshing, but personally i'm not a fan of lemons

♡ get dressed/ready straight away
instead of lying about in your pj's get dressed straight away and it will make you feel more awake x

hope this post was helpful xx - em <3

favourite affordable spring nail polishes

spring is probably my favourite season for nail polish as i'm obsessed with pastels! so i'm going to share some of my favourites with you today!<3

♡ rimmel london rita ora nail polish in the shade '413 oragina'
this is a gorgeous peach colour which goes on so nicely! this is very opaque and gives a lovely shine.
£2.99
♡ collection work the colour nail polish in '23 baby blue
this is probably one of my favourite nail polishes of all time! such a lovely sky blue, perfect for spring. the only bad thing is it goes quite thick very quickly, however it is very inexpensive to replace.
£1.99
♡ rimmel london 60 seconds nail polish in '835 right back at you'
this polish is a bit darker than the other ones, but i still love it for spring! this isn't as opaque as the first two however it dries really quickly so it doesn't take any longer.
£2.99
♡ rimmel 60 seconds nail polish in '410 i lilac you'
this is another nail polish from the 60 seconds range but is pretty opaque considering it's a lighter colour.
£2.99
♡ rimmel 60 seconds nail polish in '420 sweet lavender'
another gorgeous colour, very springy and looks good on all lengths. this is isn't that opaque but other than that i love it!!
£2.99
♡ nyc in a minute quick dry nail polish in ' 258 prospect park pink'
even though you can't get nyc in store in the uk now, it is available online so i thought i would include it anyway as it's one of my favourites. this dries so quickly and is very opaque. it's a very pretty pink colour which isn't to bright and in your face
£1.79
♡ sally hansen complete salon manicure nail polish in '839 in the flesh'
this is probably my favourite nude nail polish, such an amazing formula which gives a gorgeous shine to your nails. a lovely cream/pink colour which goes with everything.
£6.99

these are all of the nail polishes with two coats, some of these need a bit more but it will just give you a general idea of the opacity. *please ignore the application!*

•|Spring lookbook - fashion, hair and makeup ideas for spring|•

Hi guys,
so a while ago, over on our instagram (emnella.x) i asked you guys which posts you wanted to see and a few of you suggested a spring lookbook!

| hair
•look 1: the first hairstyle is a really easy hairstyle and all you need to do is do two or three (depending on how thick or long your hair is) french braids in your hair and sleep in it. for the best result make sure you wash you hair in the day you do the plaits but braid you're hair when it's dry.
•look 2: for this look it doesn't matter when you last washed your hair, or how long your hair is. the first thjbg you need to do is separate you hair into a half up, half down. then section the top bit into 3. then you want to tie the two peices of hair on the left and right but not the middle together with a thin hair bobble. you can twist or plait or braid the two bits of hair into the bobble if you want. for the bottom part you can either leave it as your natural hair, straighten it, curl it, or have the wavy style in look 1.
•look 3: this hair style is really easy and all you have to do is put you hair in two braids. you can get someone else to do it (i usually ask my mum) if you can't do it yourself. there are different braids you can do which also look really cute, dutch braids, french braids, plaits and fishtail braids.
^ not my picture looks 1 and 2 are though

| makeup
~ disclaimer ~ both of the makeup looks are obviously not done by me but I think they are perfect for spring. i have left their instagram names at the top of the picture so have given credit.
•look 1: gold eyes, nude lip. i really love this makeup look for spring as it's really natural but gives you a nice glow and is really pretty. if you're the type of person that wants your makeup natural then this is perfect.
•look 2: silver/pink eyes, pink lip. this look is perfect if you want to go bold or for a night out in spring and looks super pretty.

| fashion
for the fashion ideas i'm not going to say my opinion, just where it's from and the price. also i can't leave links to the shops - i haven't figur d out how to do that on my phone yet.
• dungarees: primark - £12 (adults)
